An interactive whiteboard starter to practise mental or written maths. Issue the class with mini whiteboards or paper and pens to do their working out on.
Click 30 or 60 to determine how long they have between new questions. The train will arrive. The timer will start. The students then need to take the starting number shown on the red flag and apply the calculations shown on the carriages. When the time reaches zero the train will leave and a new one will arrive. Four trains will arrive and leave before the end. At the end, click “check” to see the trains with their answers. The resource is fully automated so is a useful activity to set while marking the register.
Also included is a worksheet with blank trains either for the students to use in their working out or for teacher created questions.
Remember to use F11 in Internet Explorer or Firefox to go to full screen as this resource is a little larger than usual.

Designed for the interactive whiteboard. A game to allow students to demonstrate that they can distinguish number groups. The resource presents ten bubbles bouncing around the screen. The first version of this IWB resource has 5 prime number bubbles and 5 non prime. The challenge is to burst all of the primes in as short a time as possible.
For younger students the second version has the same concept but presents odd and even numbers. The student needs to burst all of the odd numbers.
The resource is primarily designed to be used with an interactive whiteboard and so may be a little trickier with a mouse.
As a side note reference can also be made to science lessons ; the bubbles simulate the refraction of light. This is an effect that may labour slower computers.

A familiar style of quiz for use on the interactive whiteboard. Click a letter to choose it. Ask the question along the lines of “Which T is a…” Select which team got it right, choose a new letter.
A new set of letters is generated every game but it never includes the letters X and Z.
UPDATE: You can now select upper or lower case letters as requested by a user. Choose the case then click reset.
A bank of questions for Maths is also included. As it is a themed bank some letters are problematic. If anyone can think of better ones for J please comment below.

True 3D dice to use on your interactive whiteboard. Select to display one, two or three dice on screen. Click ‘Roll’ for them to roll.
Useful in probability lessons and at any other time when a random choice needs to be made.
As the dice used on this resource are in real time 3D, slower computers may glitch or stutter occasionally. Try rolling only one dice if this happens.
As usual please leave feedback on any problems you might encounter or comments on how you have used this resource in your lessons.

A game designed to be played on the interactive whiteboard, probably with a small group with the intentions of encouraging development of mental maths skills. It is best used for a maths competition at the end of the lesson. Entering the answer with an interactive whiteboard is easier within the given time as there is no need for the mouse to travel. There are two versions; one which gives multiplication questions and one with addition questions. The difference between the given answer and the correct answer is how many ballons are burst.

An experimental interactive whiteboard resource. Its purpose is to allow some of the benefits of an expensive visualiser to be used in the average classroom. Use a webcam to project objects on to the interactive whiteboard. Take snaps and annotate them, swap between the snaps and keep the annotations. Snap students’ work and point out what’s good about it. Sadly this resource is limited by the detail of the average webcam. Anything less than 1.3 megapixels will not scale up to interactive whiteboard size. A 1.3 mp will not be a perfect picture either. Nevertheless as a demonstration aid this still has uses. Please leave feedback on how you have used it.

Use your interactive white board to play Maths bingo with your students. If you use the printable bingo books provided for this resource the program can instantly check which numbers have been called on which book and provide a picture of that book with the appropriate numbers marked, saving time when a student calls Bingo!
The answers can be hidden by the cover so that the questions can be delivered visually on the interactive whiteboard.
In response to the request in the comments Bingo version 2 is now on-line. This operates on a timer basis. Choose 5 0r 10 second intervals. Click pause to stop new questions appearing. Click the 5 or 10 second buttons to continue. All else works the same. The original is still here in case of problems with the new version or if you just prefer it.
