This interactive whiteboard resource is for teaching how to find the lowest common multiples of 2 numbers.  The resource makes it easy to have two different, easily manipulated, multiplication tables on the IWB.  Each multiplication table can be rotated independently to demonstrate how to find the lowest common multiple.

The resource displays the first 15 multiples of numbers 2 to 15.

Slower computers may slow a little using this resource.

As always, any comments on how this resource may be improved or adapted, are welcome.

Go to the interactive whiteboard resource.

For a supporting resource that generates multiples to sort on a venn diagram see this interactive whiteboard resource.

  1. OOOOH AAAAH! Go Spencer Go! We’re not worthy! I love the way you can see the depth of the ring of multiples. I am emailing everybody I know to take a look at this one. 🙂

  2. First again to comment! I think I should make this one of your comments scroll across the top of the screen! If any ideas for how to improve it occur let me know, your comments and ideas so far have been very useful. To be honest I wasn’t sure about the ring of multiples as, apart from its good points (ease of navigation), I was worried it may suggest that the multiples loop to children. The teacher can make them clear on this but, hopefully, if this is an issue people will let me know.

Thanks again and I hope your email recipients like it too.

  3. I love this.

I’ve found some very good ITPs for shape topics on the web, but not enough for number topics.

    This is amazing

    Keep up the good work.
